Vienna, Virginia (May 29, 2009)…CRGT, a leading provider of Information Technology (IT) solutions to the federal government, announced today that Lt. Gen. James C. King, U.S. Army, Retired, recently joined its Board of Directors.
King retired as a three-star general in November of 2001 after serving 33 years in the U.S. Army. During his long and distinguished military career, he led the National Imagery and Mapping Agency, a Department of Defense and National Intelligence Agency comprised of 13,000 employees and contractors. He also served as the principal architect for the intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance input for information superiority as well as information operations planning and implementation for the Secretary of Defense and Joint Chiefs of Staff. He has managed budgets of over $2 Billon, implemented one of the largest digital information management acquisition programs in government, and led the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community effort to establish a national collaborative working environment.
After his military career, King became President and CEO of Athena Innovative Solutions. Athena provided policy, operational, and technical expertise and solutions to government and industry clients in the fields of intelligence, counterintelligence, counterterrorism, security and homeland defense. In 2005, Athena was purchased by Veritas Capital, which sold it to CACI in 2007.
