Collaboratively, Salient CRGT’s Dr. Yll Agimi, along with colleagues from the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC), Defense Health Agency (DHA) and General Dynamics Information Technology, issued a paper published on March 22 by The American Public Health Association. The aim of the large retrospective study was to examine the role of Department of Defense policies in identifying theater-sustained traumatic brain injuries (TBI).
This study has improved the longstanding problem of underreporting of TBIs through the Department of Defense and service-specific policies introduced between 2006 and 2013. Click here for the study abstract. Explore more on the Military Health System website.
